What to Do in a Dental Emergency Until You Reach the Dentist

Dental emergency hamesha working hours me nahi aati—kabhi raat me daant toot jata hai, kabhi bachcha gir ke front tooth laga leta hai. Panic karne se pehle, kuch basic steps yaad rakho.

Severe toothache: Mouth ko halka warm salt water se rinse karo. Agar food stuck ho, floss se gently nikaalne ki koshish karo. Cheek ke bahar cold compress rakh sakte ho, par directly daant pe garam–thanda extremes avoid karo. Over-the-counter painkiller (agar doctor ne pehle se allow kiya ho) temporary relief de sakta hai, par clove oil jaisa local irritant direct gum/nerve pe mat ghuso.

Broken tooth: Jo fragment gira hai, agar mil jaaye, sambhal ke rakh lo. Mouth ko rinse karo, bleeding ho toh clean gauze se pressure do. Hard chewing us side avoid karo.

Knocked-out adult tooth: Agar pure ka pura tooth bahar aa gaya ho, root ko touch na karein, sirf crown se pakdo. Agar clean hai, gently rinse karo (scrub mat karo) aur attempt karo wapas socket me softly place karne ka, phir gently bite on clean cloth. Agar ye possible na ho, tooth ko clean container me milk ya saline me rakh ke turant dentist tak pohchaao. Time yahan bohot critical hota hai.

Har case me, emergency me “Google remedies” ke chakkar me time waste mat karo. Basic first aid + fastest dental visit = best outcome.
